That AFX car is BEAUTIFUL!I am working on building one real soon.I am going with a 66 Dart, relocating the rear forward, installing a straight axle in front, and going to run a 340 HEMI.I know that you say they did not make a 340 Hemi.Well there is a place in Tennessee that if you send them your block, and crank they will provide everything else and the heads they have designed which are true Hemi for the smallblock are awsome.I have to admit for a poor boy like me thay are not cheap but it is something I am going to shoot for.I have always wanted one really BADA$$ engine in my life and I hope this to be it.I will have to run it on race fuel to get the HP I want but it is not going to be a everyday driver!Just occaisionally to a local cruise and to the track every now and then and a few local car shows.I have accumalayed a lot of parts already but still looking and stacking them in the shop and getting ready!Tell you friend with the AFX it is really cool and not to leave your lightweight car out it is very cool also.I personally love the old school looks better than the new type.

Hi Sean,

Usually just like to read all the neat info on this site but I guess I'm a "long time listener/first time caller/poster".

Just wanted to add you have a great car. Saw it run a high 9.40 at the Brainerd Nats last year( 2nd car behind it in burn out box with my vette).

Love the 64's. My dad raced a 64 and 65 here in Iowa in the early and mid 80's(of course I tagged along). Car sounded great when I helped pick it up. Should run alot faster in that southern "low density altitude/sea level" air.

Best of Luck,
Alex Polewik

I think Ken Montgomery still has his 64 HEMI SS/BA in his garage. It was parked after a transmission explosion a few years back..

I would love to see those cars any pictures maybe? To cool super stock stuff is where the real history begins for the car people. Sean
