69 Nova 4 speed hole
Did a few searches and couldn't find anything.
I've attached some reference from another site. I'm trying to get placement of the non console 4speed hole. I replaced the tunnel and the previous was opened up beyond recognition. Can anyone tell me does the hole start off the center or how far over to the driver side. The 8" back from the seam seems correct. Any information appreciated as usual. Thanks |

4 spd hole Nova..
I found out a little known item concerning the cut out location a few years back. I was replacing the carpeting in one of our 70 bench seat cars and the factory jute padding was still intact.
There was actually a perforated cut out for the floor shifter built into the padding. Now this was a bench seat TH400 car, but it appears the factory used the same jute for both applications. Of course finding an oem jute floor piece would be no easy task...but it would make a perfect template if you could. -wilma

The holes were cut with a torch on the line, not a perfect science

I was able to gather some better reference material that may be helpful to someone else down the road. I just wanted to be a little more precise.
