Default Vin Number Advice

Is there any way at all to tell what my 1968 Camaro was originally from the factory with just the vin number? I pretty much know all of the identifiers but when I put my vin into the Been Verified site it actually came back with more than just a base Camaro.

For 1968 Camaro, VIN will only tell you:

Coupe or convertible.

Six cyl engine or 8 cyl from the factory.

No other info.

In 68, Trim Tag doesn't add much. Will only indicate which interior, which color interior, and exterior color codes, including vinyl top, if so equipped.

Sorry, but that web site sounds like an accumulation of all the incorrect information posted anywhere in the world on a particular person, place or thing.
