FUN STUFF at MCACN: REAL Movie Cars + Some More
Soooo....
We have told you about the REAL '55 Chevy that is joining us at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show this year that was featured in both Two Lane Blacktop AND American Graffiti. This is the main car that was used for a majority of the film that was first built for Two Lane Blacktop than later updated for American Graffiti. We teased that we had something else in the works, which is now confirmed. That is the original Primer Grey '55 Chevy as seen in Two Lane Blacktop, driven by James Taylor. These cars were all originally built by Richard Ruth, and he is joining us for both Saturday and Sunday. Richard has a TON of great stories to share. We also have the original Joe Dirt "Daytona" that was driven by David Spade. This one is just plain fun, and there is more going on with that also, TBA later. Now...to add a bit more fun to the mix, we have several Tribute Movie cars joining us. We have a really wild '69 GTO that is an exceptionally accurate tribute to the George Barris built "Fuzz" GTO from the television variety show Romp. Remember that one? lol When I say wild, think George Barris and go a few steps beyond his usual builds. Then we have another very accurate Tribute built to replicate the GTO Judge from the movie Dazed and Confused. But wait...there's more! Add in Mark Pappas Tribute '32 American Graffiti Coupe AND another '55 Chevy that Richard Ruth worked on! As I often say, it is all about having fun and once again we offer a few more reasons to join us at the MCACN show, November 23-24. Can't wait!
