This awesome 1973 Honda Z50 Custom Monkey Bike is a one-of-a-kind build that was completed to show quality standards. It's powered by a 108cc engine and manual 3-speed transmission. The Honda Z50A is a small motorcycle that was produced by Honda from 1968 to 1978 and it was the second generation of the Z50 series of minibikes. From the information gathered this example was built a few years ago with an open checkbook. Since completion it's only had test miles and has a top speed of 63mph. Please note, there is no documentation to support that claim. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased this bike in July of 2023 and September of 2024 is the first time it's been listed for sale.

During the build and restoration process the original frame was stripped, prepped and powder coated black. The original serial number stamp is visible on the front fork section of the frame. It was setup with a Fast50s Honda complete 8” chrome handlebar kit which is taller and stronger than the factory handlebars. These handlebars also give you a more comfortable feel, better handling and more leg room. Some upgrades include a billet Fast50s throttle, Fast50's clamp, soft ribbed grips, power kill button, Caw Car cell phone holder, Takegawa levers and cables. It has a black Stanley headlight housing and Stanley headlight. It has Takegawa Special Parts on the front forks that were painted green. The fuel tank and side panel were also painted green and decorated with decals that were clear coated over. The beautiful paint work is high show quality throughout. The fuel tank was setup with a TB Parts race petcock which is commonly found with performance carburetors. The new seat is upholstered in black vinyl material. It has a chrome front fender and chrome rear fender. It has a black taillight bracket for the rear brake, taillights and custom Honda Z50J license plate. It has a Kitaco polished rear swing arms, Sunstar gold rear sprocket, chrome springs and shocks. It's powered by a new LIFAN 90cc crate engine that was built with a TB Parts 108cc stroker big bore kit. Some of the engine upgraded internal parts include a stroker crank, race camshaft, high compression light weight piston kit, aluminum steel sleeve cylinder and race head V2 with aluminum roller rockers. The engine was dressed with a polished Cold Fusion side cover, bronze Boyesen Factory Racing cover, Takegawa side cover and kick starter. The engine is fed with a Sheng-Way 20mm high performance carburetor with custom air filter. The transmission was converted to a 3-speed manual with clutch. The engine breathes through a custom Over Racing Project full titanium exhaust that sounds awesome! As a point of reference, the cost of just this exhaust is between 650-700 alone. It has custom foot pegs and a custom rear brake lever. It rolls on G-craft 8-hole aluminum 3.5” wheels with Heidenau tires that are 3.50-8 on the front and 4.00-8 on the rear. When it's parked it leans on a 50 Stunt billet kickstand.

A vintage Bell open face helmet was painted to match the bike and is included. A green mask and helmet bag are also included.

I'm no expert on Z50 Mini Trails, but that looks very well done with many accessories and go-fast goodies. GLWA
