1969 302 Block V1217DZ
This is a standard bore 3932386 casting DZ block Cast date December 11, 1968. It’s been stored since early 80s with my parts I am now selling. Have a crank as well, not sure if it is from this block. It is standard. Also have rods and pistons with the correct numbers cast on the underside. Pictured is a faint Vin stamping by the oil filter. There is a scar in #7 cylinder, also pictured, from a piston pin. Cam bearings and plugs were removed prior to cleaning. Great opportunity for someone needing a block with this date.
I can strap to a pallet and ship by truck. Prefer pickup of course near Palm Springs CA. |

Have you tried reading the partial vin? Might be able to list it in the Orphans section at CRG. Never know, may be able to re-unite with original car.
I had a Dec 18 block a few years ago. VIN was not readable. Sold it to a member here who had a Z with V1218DZ on the POP!!! Not likely the original car, but about as close as you get. Good luck.

I have a few images of this stamping from when you posted the rough casting area in June 2024. Looks the partial VIN is 19N569414
