Just did this on my 24 Ft Trailer. Used E track and made to measure straps from Macs Tiedowns. Used Grade 8 bolts and large washers with nylon nuts underneath. Tracks were placed for 59 inch front and rear track and minimum 108 inch wheelbase.

They make backing plates for the e track. I would not think bolts with washers would be safe through plywood alone. Backing plates and bolting through crossmembers would be best.

I would want backing plates also and nylock nuts WILL work loose. After I had a couple nylock nuts work loose from vibration on a trailer, I now only use all steel crimped locking nuts.
I bought a new 6x10 enclosed trailer to haul my Harley and had to place the rings in the floor and cut backing plates for them ..LOL The Harley and trolley might weigh 1,000 lbs, but under severe braking or a collision, it isn't going to rip loose from the floor.

I used e-track in my Harley trailer and made 4"X4" backing plates cut from flat bar fore and aft of the the wheels. I'm kicking around the idea to purchase another trailer and will go the same route.

I always add e-track to my enclosed trailers. The flexibility for moving tie down points is great - especially when hauling ATVs. However, for bigger cars it’s kind of a PITA to fit yourself between the wall of the trailer & the car to install the anchors. Anybody else find that to be an issue?

I don't trust that single strap setup but I am usually hauling drag cars with skinny front runner tires. I just had a buddy hauling a car on a dolly that had a single strap come off on one side. I have straps that form a basket that go on each side of the tire with a strap over the top of the tire to tie it together. It is adjustable for tire size. Never have had it come loose.

I ordered 4 x 5 foot pieces of Horz E Track from TruckingDepot.com as their shipped
priced was better than Harbor Freight and others........... I bought one extra 5' Piece that I am going to cut into shorter pieces and use for backing plates under the wood floor of my Pace American Trailer Now I will order 4 x https://www.autohaulersupply.com/cat...het-553839.php from AutoHaulerSupply.com and 4 x https://www.autohaulersupply.com/cat...-dw-554785.php so I can use my own ratchets (I have many extra)

I have e-trac in my 24 footer. Screws through plywood seem to hold just fine, just use enough of them. Some go thru the trailer crossmembers. I also installed the moveable e-trac wheel chocks in the front. It helps for consistent tongue weight and will take the bulk of the force in a hard brake event which will be your highest load on the e-trac

I had my trailer custom made with the E track and I use over the tires straps and they have worked flawlessly for 6 years now
