Default NOS Seal p/n 5686526

Does anyone have old GM parts books that can look up the application for this part? I found it in a box of miscellaneous parts that I'm clearing out, and really have no idea what it's for. Still sealed in its original packaging. TIA.

Answered on Nastyz28 site, but it is a steering box seal for late 50's trucks:

superseded by 5687183 in 1966.

Appreciate your answer, but I suspect something else as I would have bought this in the 1990s or early 2000s. Package labeling would indicate that it was still a viable part number in that later time frame.

It is a dust seal for the input shaft on many power steering sectors, as listed on NAPA. GM is discontinued and no list of applications came up.
