Default A body package tray question?

Has anyone replaced the package tray panel on a 70 GTO/Lemans. Are these the same as the 68-72 chevellle package tray panel? They are both A bodies but the package tray is not listed for GTO anywhere.

I deal with AMES for all my Pontiac parts. I called them and asked if the GTO package tray was the same as a 68-72 Chevelle. The guy I spoke with was questionable. He thought if it was possible they would stock it. I figured someone must of tried it before. Maybe know what the differences are. I looked at a 69 Chevelle at a car show this weekend I really couldn't tell the differences. I didn't have a tape measure and both cars weren't side by side.

DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH YOU NEED TO USE..

the tulip panel is way different (the panel between the window and decklid) so if you dont go outside the car, you can splice it there up to there

the outter wings where it attaches to the inner structure is diff, if yours are good use them..ya just gotta cut it up a little

the rest of the inside stuff is close enough to use...dont cut anything out of your car and throw it away til you have them side by side...you need some of your stuff

or hang on..over the weekend i may have one..i just looked it over and looks solid as a rock...i just drug a 71 in and will slice and dice it...i'll know in a few days

Mark I sent you my contact info. Very interested in the rear package tray you may have. I will need it soon. The tulip panel "LOL" between the two trunk hinges is in very poor shape. The part of the panel inside the car is actually mint. Looks like a rear window leak got this panel.
