Default 1969 Amtec Chris-Craft Cabin Cruiser Custom Boat Coin Operated Children's Ride

1969 Amtec Chris-Craft Cabin Cruiser Custom Boat Coin Operated Children's Ride

Selling with NO RESERVE on Bring a Trailer

This magnificent 1969 Amtec Chris-Craft Cabin Cruiser Custom Boat Coin-Operated Children's Ride is extremely rare and a one-of-a-kind designed piece. From the information gathered it was originally produced by Amtec which was located at One Executive Center in Ocean, New Jersey. This rare vintage children's ride was discovered and purchased as an original piece over 10 years ago by Jeff Russell of Big Boy Toys in Oklahoma. It was properly stored until Jeff decided to do a complete restoration in February of 2024. Jeff's vision was to take the simplistic factory design to a completely different level in appearance which would require many modifications. The additional cost of parts and labor added a great deal of expense but was worth it. His vision came to life with this Chris-Craft Cabin Cruiser themed masterpiece! MS CLASSIC CARS purchased it in March of 2024 and it's been on display since. July of 2024 is the first time it's ever been listed for sale.

This entire piece is in high show quality condition throughout and is in excellent working order. The original fiberglass body was stripped and prepped to be straighter then it left the factory. During this process the original front and side vents were removed. The holes were filled in and smoothed over. The original helm, bow and stern chrome railing were removed. The holes were filled in and smoothed over. The original coin-mechanism was removed from the cabin dash which was filled in and smoothed over. The new coin-mechanism was discreetly added to the bow. The main part of the hull was painted cherry wood to simulate a wooden Chris-Craft boat which required air-brushing. The paint process is a seven stage four color process. The hull was dressed with silver painted stripe all the way around that separates the black painted lower portion. The hull was also dressed with silver painted windows on the front and sides where the vents were originally located. The bow was dressed with silver painted stripes for a realistic appearance. The paint work quality is exceptional and very realistic looking. The hull was decorated with new trim throughout including a side molding, operational navigation light, cleats, flag-pole base, vents and emblems. The excellent attention continues into the cabin where the entire space was painted cherry wood to match the exterior. The lower section of the dash, seats and flooring was painted with a black textured material for durability. The dual steering wheel brackets were painted black. The two steering wheels were painted silver and cherry wood. The dash was decorated with decals of simulated gauges for a realistic appearance. The dash was also outfitted with two buttons which play the sound of authentic Chris-Craft horns and are fully operational. A set of solid brass simulated propellers were added to the bottom for a realistic
appearance. The American Flag is proudly displayed on the stern.

The original fiberglass base cover was removed, stripped and prepped to be straighter then it left the factory. It was painted in cherry wood to match the Chris-Craft Cabin Cruiser Custom Boat. The paint work quality is also exceptional and very realistic looking. The base was outfitted with new black step plates. The base was also decorated with new Chris-Craft and 10 Cent emblems. During the timeframe the base cover was removed the original mechanism was prepped and painted black. It's equipped with a Dayton Model #5K444C motor which is rated with 1/3 horsepower and 1725 R.P.M. During the restoration it was outfitted with a new 12-volt power cord and sound box that plays the sounds of authentic Chris-Craft V8 engines. This mechanism movement is designed to move the boat as if it were moving in the water going side to side. The base is on wheels for easier maneuverability.

This is a great opportunity to purchase an extremely rare piece of Automobilia that's selling with NO RESERVE!

The measurements are 60”L x 31”Wx 39”H.
