AC Delco PROMO trash / garbage can - large floor model - RED plastic
Hi Gang, a very unusual item I just found; I have never seen one before.
And boy is it cool, if I had the room, which I don't, I'd certainly keep it. I'm not sure of the age of this item or it's provenance beyond coming from a GM collector's stash. It's molded red plastic, not sure if ABS but the white lettering is not a sticker, looks like hot applied paint or print screening maybe. It's sturdy and an obviously meant to be used trash / garbage can; not just for decoration. Red is bright and it hasn't seen much of it's intended use, that's clear. It's square 18"x18" and about 30" high, that makes it about a 42 gallon unit. A "Commercial Zones Product" and from "DCI Marketing" a known partner of GM of course. Generic cans from this manufacturer still seem to be available and a plain black can like this is about 150.00 it seems. It's big and shipping will certainly not be cheap, but I'll ship if I can find a box large enough for actual cost as always. It's surely got the cool factor, that's for sure. Two pieces, the lid is removable of course. 150.00 PPG plus actual shipping and insurance. Same price as a new regular can! Hi Gang,
Local pick up only now, as shipping on this item is prohibitive, to say the least: FedEx wanted an eye watering $503 to ship this GROUND to PA today... If you're in SoCal, we can negotiate a meet up if you're interested. I think this puts the end to me picking up large items anymore, unfortunately... Cheers Friends! Anthony |
