'62 Impala SS Convertible
My neighbor threw a few bids on this car before the bidding got out of control (at least, in my opinion, anything north of $50k for this car is crazy - the engine bay is super dingy, seats need new foam, etc).
I love the '61-64 full size Chevys, but the '62s don't seem to bring the same coin as the '61s. What do you guys believe is reasonable for this particular car? Needs a lot of detailing work from what I can see in the pics. And the reserve hasn't been met at $50K! Is it sitting a little high?

61’s have a sexier body.

My opinion is that a 62 will always outsell a 61. This car is an absolute mess, anything over 40 is too much and then I wouldn't want it unless I was going to blow it apart and start over. I hate to see these cars sitting on the ground but damn they must have Buick station wagon springs in this thing.
