I wouldn’t expect Best of Show but the real Car Guys will enjoy it. Have fun and enjoy your day.

A few shots before the show begins/opening the hood. I'm enjoying this already!

Many years ago my brother had a '69 Z28. It was half black primer and half forest green with white stripes. It had a 327 in it when he got it. We built a LS6 and put it in. We had more fun in that car than any other car we have ever had. We didn't worry about scratching it or getting it dirty. It was fast and fun. Pretty cars are nice, but not as much fun.

The show was fun, most people made comments about its potential but a few totally enjoyed the car. 2 guys really knew what it was. My favorite car from the show was a well optioned unrestored 69z. It had the zl2 hood added years ago but other than that it was very original. The car had the original blue light radio too. Anyway as I'm looking at the car I ask a woman if she can open the hood, she says "my husband is over there looking at that car" I look across the lot and he's leaned over getting a close look at my car! We hit it off and that made the show more enjoyable. His name is Orrin Holt and he has owned some cool cars.
The other gentleman who "got it" was Dennis Murmin, he showed me images of the find of a lifetime a few years back involving a few BOSS mustangs, he sold off a few and says one of the cars is on the MCACN facebook page. He highly recommended my car be shown at MCACN which felt like a huge compliment.

I enjoy driving the car and it still needs some work like a rear end rebuild and hood adjustment but I'm able to drive it with confidence. I hope soon to get some better videos while driving and I've considered investing in a gopro.

Oh I didn't win anything as expected

Great shot of the car Jose! The satisfaction you're getting showing the car to other people and driving it are better than any trophy bud!

I swapped my M22 for an Autogear transmission that fit my needs as a driver with 3.31 ring and pinion and wide torque band. I ordered mine with the following ratios
1st 2.994
2nd 1.879
3rd 1.353
4th 1.00
I installed it just in time to enjoy Monterey car week! It has a nearly identical SLR (9.9) to a 4.56 2.20 car (SLR of 10.0) but I can actually cruise on the freeway around 2700rpm at 70mph.

Peninsula Cars and Coffee in Seaside which is local to me had a special gathering for Monterey Car Week. It was packed with a variety of cars from 6 figure exotics, hot rods, foreign classics, and unusual rides. It was right across the street from the 24 hours of Lemons event. It was a great atmosphere to be a part of and a few guys really appreciated my car and many took photos.
There must have been around 300 cars easy as the hotel parking lot for Embassy suites and the adjacent Chili's parking lot was full. I'm glad I got a spot!
It was cool cruising around town getting the head nods, thumbs up and smiles from fellow car enthusiasts from all backgrounds and locations!
One guy was driving a Lexus LFA handing out ramen noodles!
That same night I took the car to a friend's small backyard party in Carmel where we all exchanged car stories. Tom Matano, the Father of the Miata was also there at the party.
In Carmel, The streets were full of jaw dropping cars. At the party I was asked about having a video done on my car so hopefully that will come to fruition!

On the way home that night from Carmel it was a bit wet with the marine layer and I had to hold down the wiper switch button to work continuously. I'm thinking it is a ground issue or a bad switch.
The car also all of a sudden wanted to die after blipping the gas from idle, turns out the NEW Holley carburetor I installed recently had metal shavings under the primary accelerator nozzle that prevented the check valve from operating. I just cleaned it out today although I was a bit disappointed that it happened to a new carburetor. Either way I made it home safe and I'm really enjoying the car!

I had a AGE M23 in my car for several years with very similar gear ratios. My 3600 pound car ran 11.12 at 124 MPH with that transmission. I prefer the Holley carburetors from the '60s and '70s over the new ones.
