I found one of those for a friend of mine (who is a bonafide AMC nut) back in the early 80's in Oswego IL. It was also blue, but I'm sure it's not the same car. At the time I found it, the owner worked for American Motors and it was all stock with an automatic trans. Not sure if my friend still owns it or not....I sent him a link to the youtube video.

Yes, my friend Larry sold the car about 5 yrs ago to a fellow AMC fan. New owner restored the car, changed color (Larry didn't say to what color) and added a vinyl top, which he was not thrilled to hear.

I'm a very good friend of Jake's and I can add a little bit more for the Detroiters. The exact neighborhood was right off of Van Born, between Telegraph and Pardee. His dad remembered that last weekend. It was a brick house with an attached two car garage. We cruised the neighborhood last weekend but, as you might imagine, came up empty.

Ain't no fun in viewing your car as an 'investment'. Get out there and beat on it!
