Default 1968 roadrunner

In your opinion how bad does it hurt the car if it doesn't have the fender tag on a Mopar it's a 68 roadrunner 383 4-speed numbers matching motor trans railroad runner but the fender tag is gone is it worth getting or no

If you were a Mopar guy, it's like seeing a GM car with the trim tag missing.

Sounds like a reason to negotiate a lower price, but I'd still be a buyer. I always liked the taxi cab interior in a 68 Road Runner.

Mopar guy here. If the build sheet can be found under or in the back of the rear seat and is legible then it’s not a huge deal as a reproduction can be made to exactly what the car was originally.

However if the build sheet is missing or destroyed things become much harder. MMC Detroit will make you a trim tag, however it will be a base model 383 Roadrunner trim tag with 0 options since nothing can now be proven.

It affects the value to the degree you allow it to. Without any proof of options it hurts value more than if the build sheet is there.

A lost fender tag is like having the DNA missing. I think it hurts the value up to 10%.
