Default 1980 BAFCO Ferrari F1 Coin Operated Childrens Ride

1980 BAFCO Ferrari F1 Coin Operated Childrens Ride
$15,900

This exciting 1980 BAFCO Ferrari F1 Coin-Operated Children's Ride is the ultimate collector's piece for the true automotive enthusiast. BAFCO Ltd. (BArry, Fox and COllins) was a British company based in Alford, UK. From the information gathered the company was founded in 1980 and closed in 2003. This example was discovered and restored by Jeff Russell of Big Boys Toys in Oklahoma. The restoration was completed and immediately purchased by MS CLASSIC CARS in February of 2024. It's been on display for the last couple of months. June of 2024 is the first time it's ever been listed for sale.

This piece is in show quality condition and in excellent working order. The original fiberglass body was stripped and prepped to be straight. During this process the theme of the ride was changed to a Ferrari F1 race car. It was painted with automotive-grade paint. The body was painted in Rosso Corsa which is known as racing red. The front spoiler, side steps, rear spoiler and tires were painted black. The body was decorated with laser-cut vinyl graphics and clear coated for the painted on appearance. The spoilers and tires were decorated with Goodyear graphics. The interior is also made of fiberglass and was painted with black textured paint for durability. The dash, steering wheel and seat were painted black to match the exterior trim work. A new sound box was installed that plays actual Ferrari F40 racing sound.

The BAFCO embossed fiberglass base was also stripped and prepped to be straight. It was also painted with automotive-grade black paint. All of the original mechanical, electrical and hydraulic parts were inspected including the 1/3 motor. A new 110 volt power cord was added. The piece was outfitted with a new coin-mechanism box that starts with a dime. It was painted black and decorated with decals including the Big Boy Toys. This is in excellent working order.

This 44 year old piece of Automobilia has been completely restored to high standards. Coin-operated children's rids are becoming highly collectable and make great conversation pieces. This is a great opportunity!
