Default Straight Axle '66 Chevy II Super Sport

Would be super cool if some of the more modern parts were replaced with 1960s-70s stuff. Not sure it will reach $79k, but it's a dealer so I'm guessing there's room in the price.

Wow, I saw this car at the Houston Autorama 3 years ago and it looks just like my Chevy II SS I had in high school and college. Sadly, it was stolen in 1981 when I was a sophomore. I wonder how it drives and handles with the straight axle conversion?

Whoever put the straight axle on, they took off the two crossmembers (one under the engine, and the mounts for the struts). That makes that front frame weak, without putting at least one back (I made mine) The factory subframes are thin steel, and bend easy.

NicKey Performance. Inc reintroduced the Bill Thomas "Novel Nova" Funny Car Kit almost two decades ago. These kits have been very popular and even more so today. Done right and properly engineered Straight Axle Novas, Tri-Fives etc drive surprisingly well at speed on the track or running down the express way.

It’s offered by Gateway. Be wary. Could be a very nice car, but a rough transaction…
