68 Camaro L78 Smog bracket to Intake hardware
Does anyone know what hardware was used to mount the A.I.R bracket to the intake. It appears the original two bolts to the bracket should be longer than the standard flange aluminum intake bolts. Were they flange bolts or just a standard Hex bolt? Does anyone have pics of original big block intake hardware with smog? I did a test fit before installing the intake and noticed the flange bolts will work with the bracket but they are ~7/16" shorter than the rest with the bracket installed. 7/16 stick out from intake when just checking the bolt length with intake off.
As a side note I used the Seymour EN-48 Chevy Orange. What do you guys think? Looks a bit glossy to me... I have a picture of an original 69/70 smog setup I came across on eBay and it appears to have had standard hex bolts originally? Thanks in advance

Since the A.I.R. Bracket is part of the engine assembly it and its hardware will not be detailed in the Vehicle AIM. I agree that since the Retention bolts mate with a Steel pump bracket it would not be specified to be flanged. I would source an appropriate length HHCS (Steel Grade 5 Hex Head Cap screw from AMK)
Oh Paint looks great & it will blush (Flatten) with Time. Great picture
