Since purchasing this car, I have had Jerry MacNeish certify the car as an Original Driveline Z28 with a detailed list of the original components part numbers and associated correct date codes. After that was completed, I removed most of the non-original exhaust to expose the underside of the car which had been heavily undercoated in preparation for the Dry Ice Blasting process to remove all the undercoating. The car underwent 18 hours of meticulous removal of the undercoating completely via the Dry Ice Blasting method and when finished, all the original underside factory paint was exposed showing amazing condition now of the underside (the undercoating preserved the underside of car like it was supposed to!). The Dry Ice Blasting also removed most of the minor surface rust. Once this process was completed, I installed a brand-new Gardner Exhaust system to factory specs for an Oct 1969 built car complete with resonators and transverse muffler and all piping and clamps correct. Once that was all completed, I took the car to the 2023 Camaro Nationals recently to undergo a comprehensive Vintage Certification Judging process for authenticity and preservation. The car was fully inspected for originality and preservation, including being put up on a lift to view and document the underside components. Outcome of the Vintage Certification was an upgrade to the Heritage Award which deems that 5 out of 6 areas of the car scored better than 85% for originality and preservation. Operations 97.1% Interior 97.0% Trunk area 91.4% Engine compartment 91.0% Underbody 89.55% Exterior 83.78% Total Score 90.9% Last edited by Stingraybilly; 07-20-2023 at 03:38 PM. Z28's still seem to be strong, despite any other corrections there are in the market. I'm surprised to see this one around yet

Z for sale
Seeing the interior / exterior and the overall originality, what kept this car from scoring "LEGENDS" ? I can't figure it out. Danny

Danny, the paint had a minor deduct for being repainted (in lacquer) in the 70’s for a minor repair to the left rear quarter panel. That dragged down the overall score , Mitch
