Supercharged LS3-Powered 1967 Chevrolet Camaro 6-Speed
Supercharged LS3-Powered 1967 Chevrolet Camaro 6-Speed
Currently selling on a Bring a Trailer Online Auction. View the auction here! Known as, “The Silver Bullet”, this amazing 1967 Chevrolet Camaro was customized to be the perfect blend of old and new. It was designed by award winning car designer Keith Kaucher of Kaucher Kustoms located in Santa Monica, CA. It was built by Camaro Nationals Legends First Generation Judge Mike Slaughter of Epic Auto Restorations located in Brighton, CO. This car was a Goodguys “Gold Award Participant” at SEMA in 2016 and Goodguys “Muscle Machine of the Year Finalist” in 2017 where it also competed in the autocross event. It also received the “ Street Stock Modified Gold Award” and “Platinum Pick Judges Choice Chevrolet Modified Award” at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals. As the VIN number and trim tag indicate this car was built on the 5th week of January at the Van Nuys, CA. It originally left the factory as a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS 350 with a Mountain Green exterior, Black bucket seats interior, style trim group, tinted windshield, air conditioning, center console and 4-speed manual transmission. Mike Slaughter discovered the car in June of 2013 after it sat abandoned for 14 years. Mike’s vision was to create the ultimate first generation Camaro that would appeal to both the purist and the custom enthusiast. The mission was accomplished with this insanely gorgeous street machine. Mike’s plan was to keep the car for himself and still regrets selling it to this day. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased the car in January of 2023 and this is the first it’s been listed for sale. It’s powered by a GM Performance LS3 V8 with a Magnuson TVS2300 Supercharger with over 700HP and a GM Performance T56 Magnum 6-speed manual transmission. Yes, it’s a Silver Bullet! The exterior of this Camaro is truly stunning in every sense of the word. The body retains all of its original sheet metal with exception of the cowl hood and front fenders which are GM replacements. The body is extremely straight with excellent gap lines throughout. The hood, doors and trunk lid close tight. The car was completely stripped and re-painted in Silver with a Red bumble bee stripe. The paint work is so exceptional it was displayed in the Sikkens Paint booth at SEMA. The paint was recently detailed by MS CLASSIC CARS to a high show quality finish. All of the original glass was replaced with new tinted glass including the side vents. Everything on the exterior was restored or replaced such as the glass stainless trim, wiper arms and blades, driver’s side chrome mirror, front grill, headlight covers, chrome front bumper, black front spoiler, door handles, rear spoiler, taillight bezels, taillight lenses, SS gas cap, chrome rear bumper and SS emblems. The car was outfitted with Detroit Speed electric headlights. The car has a killer stance on 18” Billet Specialties 5-spoke polished wheels. The wheels are wrapped with Toyo Proxy T1 redline tires that are 235-40-18 on the front and 295-35-18 on the rear. The combination of the 1967 model year design, striking color and Rally Sport appearance put this example in a different league. The interior of this Camaro was tastefully re-finished in the factory correct color of Red with black piping which complements the exterior color perfectly. It looks almost 100% factory correct with the exception of some subtle upgrades. Everything was restored or replaced such as the headliner, rear view mirror, dash pad, dash fascia, dash knobs, steering column, steering wheel, door sills, door panels, arm rests, door handles, window cranks, pedals, front and rear seat belts and carpeting. Some of the upgrades include custom front bucket seats, Dakota Digital VHX white face gauges, GM Performance shifter, Vintage Air Conditioning, Custom Autosound radio with Rockford Fosgate 6x9 rear speakers and black carpeted floor mats with Silver Camaro logo. The trunk compartment was restored and re-painted in the correct style trunk splatter paint. It was outfitted with a custom black carpet mat for a clean appearance. The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout with many custom upgrades. Everything in the engine compartment was neatly organized including the new wiring, hoses and AC components. The backside of the cowl hood was painted a semi-gloss black. The firewall was smoothed for a clean look and painted semi-gloss black. The inner fenders and radiator support was also painted semi-gloss black. The Silver Bullet is powered by a GM Performance LS3 create engine that was outfitted with a Magnuson TVS2300 Supercharger producing over 700HP. MS CLASSIC CARS had the car dyno tested and it put down 640HP at the rear tires! This engine was recently serviced and runs excellent. Some of the engine compartment upgrades Fesler black aluminum hood hinges, Detroit Speed windshield wiper motor, Concept One pulley system, ATI super damper crank shaft pulley, Holly oil pan and Custom Undercover radiator support cover. The engine is cooled by a Dewitts aluminum radiator with dual SPAL electric fans. The engine breathes through custom ceramic headers and a stainless 3” X-pipe exhaust system with polished Magnaflow mufflers. MS CLASSIC CARS invested 1,500 with Bad Apple Customs in additional fabrication work to the rear of the exhaust system. The engine is coupled to a GM Performance T56 Magnum 6-speed manual transmission. The engine and transmission were purchased as a “Connect and Crusie” package. The power is transferred to the Moser 12-bolt Tru-Trac rear end with 4.10 gears. The rear end was supplied from Detroit Speed. The car is equipped with a custom power steering system with a PSC power steering reservoir and Turn One performance steering box. It’s equipped with a NAPA Legend battery. The undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout with many custom upgrades. The rear was fabricated with mini wheel tubs to accommodate the larger rear wheels. The underside was painted semi-gloss black which looks beautiful. It was dressed with a custom stainless fuel tank. The front suspension system is a complete Detroit Speed kit that includes such parts as a front tubular anti roll bar, steering rag joint, front coilover JRI shocks, tubular upper and lower control arms. The rear suspension system is also a complete Detroit Speed kit that includes such parts as a Quadra Link setup, tow hooks, shock height body mounts and JRI coilover shocks. The power braking system consists of a black 10” power booster, Wilwood 12.88” Superlite 6-piston front brake kit and a Wilwood 12.19” Dynalite rear brake kit with parking brake. MS CLASSIC CARS specializes in high quality factory correct and custom first generation Chevrolet Camaros. This is truly one the best examples we’ve ever had. It looks, runs and performs EXCELLENT! |
