WTB: 1963 Corvette Coupe L76
Looking for a 1963 coupe with some very narrow requirements. Not in a hurry, but will know the right one when I see it.
-Must be a 340hp car -MUST be a no-hit perfect original body -Must be rust-free -Must have the born-with engine -Must have the original VIN and trim tags -The more documentation, the better -Condition trumps color, though I have a preference for some colors ahead of others Not looking for a project, but expect to do some work to bring it to my standards. I don't value NCRS and BG awards very much, but they are nice to have for resale purposes. Patina on a very original car is good by me. I also like high-level older restorations that have mellowed a little with time. |

The exact car you describe, in red/red with 40,000 miles, was purchased by a local hot rod shop a couple years ago and blown apart to build a high end restomod. all they wanted was the no-hit body.
I'm thinking they paid something like 80K for it. Bill W |

Plenty of marginal 65-67 cars out there that I don't mind seeing resto-modded (even though I don't like resto-mods). But taking a good 63 and restomodding it makes me cringe. I sold my last 340 car for $120K in late 2018. It's probably a $135-140K car now. |

I had this one for awhile, it slipped through my fingers as I sold it for capital to support a business acquisition, and it turned out I didn't need the money. 340 car, original driveline, full owner history back to Day 1. Not a no-hit car (had some work done on the nose), but pretty incredible just the same.

Got my SW 340HP 41 years ago from Buick dealer used car lot. I have spoke to the 3 owners including original in Hawaii. Silver is a great color, what colors are you looking for now.

I like some colors more than others, but condition and documentation overrides color for me any day. Ideally, I would want silver/red, followed by red/red and then silver/black.

Bought something else last week, so putting this on the back burner for now. Always interested in hearing about cars that meet my specs as it can move to front-of-mind and a high priority fast when I find “the one”.

If you don't mind sharing, what did you buy.

Don’t mind at all. I’m a Porsche and BMW enthusiast also, it was final call to order a F87 M2 Competiton, and that’s what I did. Before every new car goes EV or turns into a houseplant at stop lights, I wanted to capture something I considered best in class.
