His cars drive awesome, don’t leak, and 95% of the people looking under the hood don’t notice anything amiss, and these are concours stock detailed under there.
I was just looking at this kit for my 70 LT-1. No PS on the LT-1 in 70, as the ram interferes with the oil pan; so putting factory PS on it is not an option unless I want to swap out the oil pan. Looks like a sweet deal at under $700 for everything (except the belt).

From that web page...

"It can be installed by tapping on the spline column shaft with a rubber mallet in order to collapse the steering column. The factory column will need to be collapsed approximately 2.5 inches for clearance of the Corvette Performance Steering Box Kit."

I personally don't like the idea of purposefully doing a partial collapse of my steering column and 2.5" does not seem like an insignificant distance. I had a Camaro steering column that was partially collapsed and I threw it out.

Hey Lynn,

Just change your pan to the smaller oil pan like the later 70 LT-1’s and add factory ps parts.

Thanks everyone! So now the big question is should I go with GR70-15 since that was the radial tire used on Corvettes with the same wheel specs as the 1970 F70-15 Bias ply tires?
