Also cleaned up the original top fender trim pieces and rubbers that were in excellent condition needing only a cleaning and stainless polishing.

The tops were cut off and NOS guts put in their place. Then rewelded and re-knurled. Very expensive but well worth it on original shocks.

Ah, good to know as I've saved an amount of spiral shocks.

Yenko Chevelle hood stripes did vary as seen in original pictures

some were angled, some look straight

some ran longer then the fender stripe , some were shorter

most looked to be about same length as the fender stripe

some Y Chevelles were said to not have the "SYC arrow" hood piece

also interesting is some Yenko Chevelles had the 1968 427 emblems
most had the 1969 Yenko 427 emblems

And from what I have heard recently some Yenko Chevelles came with flat Malibu hoods. I know some early shots of Nick's car has a flat non striped hood but have yet to ask him if it came that way or if he put that hood on.

Here are some other photos of stripe variations as well. Not how the stripe also continues beyond the chrome grilles. Not how deep the sYc triangle is on the 2nd photo when compared with the last photo.
