Impressive indeed, but also worth noting is that Joel Rosen ran consistent 11.1s (and set an AHRA record at 11.3s) on 7-inch tires in 1967 in the Baldwin-Motion/Motion Supercar Club/CARS Magazine '67 Camaro. It was powered by a stock L88 with single-four-barrel intake and headers. Granted it didn't have full power and AC, but we did sort it out in traffic on Sunrise Highway before going to the track. I wonder what the commuters in their wagons and 4 doors thought seeing/hearing a high rpm clutch dump and seeing that car rocketing down a city street.
