| At the strip in the seventies

I just have to share some of the pics I have. Most of these were taken by Ingvar Lindén living in Linköping at the nearby track Mantorp Park Raceway. I believe these were taken around 1976. First a couple of pics of a trike built by Anders Lake in Stockholm, if I remember correctly. I believe I read in a magazine from the seventies that he died young. And now some Corvettes. I don´t remember which but one of them, Stampede or Whitchcraft, came to Sweden race-ready. The other one was built here.

| Re: At the strip in the seventies The Firebird in the background is the one that Nicolai Lawrienco owned and drove. The engine consisted of a RAIV block with a RAV crank in it. With some other special parts on top, like homemade intakes. I think he had a bunch of them. My friend Nova67-Anders has some stories about that engine/car. The white Charger behind the UFO Mustang is also a factory HEMI car. I believe Jan Suhr has it covered in his book "Scandinavian Muscle Cars". I think I have an article about this El Camino somewhere but I can´t find it right now. Last for this time is the Opel Manta FC the way it looked in the summer of 1976. It was soon after destroyed in a fire.
