We're about 30mi inland (west) of Asbury Park. The storm is just above us now and it's barely drizzling. We never woke up to any high winds last night but I did wake up to lakefront property. There's about 7 acres of flood plain behind us. Our second lot is completely under water and right now the water line is about 1-2in below the floor of my storage shed. The water is expected to rise more due to the runoff, so I expect I'll have a lot of parts drying and salvage once it goes back down. Thank goodness we didn't lose power because the sump pump is running constantly and it's keeping up. Without it, we'd have 4' of water in the basement.
It could have been a lot worse........

Janet and I took a walk downtown. Peddie Lake has breached the damn and the little stream which would normally be about 10ft below the road was level with the lake. (this would be the stream that flows around the back of my property on the other side of the flood plain). The firehouse was flooded so the equipment was moved to higher ground. One idiot decided his car could float. The lake water is normally about 6ft below the stone wall around the parking lot. The police station is flooded along with the moving company behind it. The boro pumping station is also underwater so we'll be boiling our water for a while.
The water in the yard is actually starting to recede. One more inch and my parts shed would have been flooded.

I'll try to post a slide show of some photos

Verne, that is a goshawk, have one living in our woods too. Chases the crows around and sits on my pool fence. Wish it would take the adult rabbits, but I guess they are too big

Lost power on sat, did not get it back until wed, but no damage, just couple of small tree limbs.

Here's some photos we took yesterday in Windham, NY...the mountain top golf course was really hit hard. The town was under water..National Guard are on duty...serious damage to the local community. We delivered supplies to the local church and the Red Cross...it looks like a war zone!
