Fuel pump for 65 L78

I just ordered and recieved a 65 fuel pump for a vette from paragon. The problem that I'm having is that the pump is too deep. I have tried both YEARONE and Classic Industries but they do not have a clue on this one.
I need a pump that is correct for a 1965 L78 Impala.
Any ideas.
