Default 1970 LT-1 carb date question

Is a first week of November carb (9A1) just too early for a Feb 9 built car?
I have a correct 3972121 carb for my car, but it is dated May. My car was built in early Feb.

I am going to say yes that carb would be a acceptable date for the car. A little early but acceptable.

First week of November 1969 carb date for a 2/9/70 built car sounds good

Isn't the date schema for Holley carbs year(last digit of year, single number), month(single or two numbers, or letter)and then week(single number)?. If so, the OP's 9A1 is the first week of January, 1969? LT-1's, either Corvette or Camaro, were delayed, mid model year 1970 starts so a January 1969 carb date baffles me. My early April built engine has a third week of February (023) 3972121, so about 6 weeks or so.

Holleys decode as:
Three Digit Example 763:
7-Year (1967)
6-Month 1-10~0 (June)A=November,B=December.
3-(Third Week)

Four Digit Example 0798:
079-Day of Year (would land in March)
8-1978/1988/1998/2008
