It was removed from a 1970 Chevelle SS454 LS5. The heads that were on the engine were dated later in the month than the assembly date of the engine so I imagine they came off the original Chevelle LS5. I plan to sell those separately. I took the cam and lifters out as it was a solid lifter unit. This engine has never been balanced, ground on, etc.

With this deal, you will get:

Block
7416 steel crank
rods/pistons-NEW never ran
GM Timing gears and chain-NOS, installed but never ran
Original GM oil pan, pump, and pickup
pushrods

I was told this engine was freshened by the previous owner and never ran. I opened the engine up and it looks to be the case. The pistons are new as were the cam, lifters, and timing chain. The bearings were also new but should be replaced as many bugs, etc got into the engine when in storage.

Would be a great replacement engine for a LS5 Chevelle, 390HP Vette. Also would be good for LS6 if you wanted to cnvert to 4 bolt. Hard to find date.



I also have the timing chain cover, balancer, water pump, Pulleys, and exhaust manifolds which I will make available to the buyer for extra cost.
