What is funny it's actually a Mopar scoop called the "Baughman Layer" or something like that for the Chrysler engineer who designed it.
Back then no one cared. Everyone installed what they liked. My Mustang had a grump lump, the brown 69 Daytona ISCA show car had an L-88 scoop.
Just as you see every non GM car today with some form of GM cowl scoop.
