Default Questions....

Great thread...I just got the shipping data report from NCRS on my 1968 L71 and it was sold at Dick Fencl in Oak Park.

I noticed Ray Fencl has posted...has anyone inquired as to whether any paperwork exists?

Any salesman still around? Some retain dealership memorabilia.

I was told Mr. Piemonte broke off and is still working in area?

Trying to locate anything relating to my car or the dealership in general...

Was he a salesman?

The post on this thread about the "Monster Deals" commercials prompted me to check Utube... hilarious...

My reply was more general in case your future research brings up his name,as well as to answer an older reply from 302moz.

Default Fencl-Tufo

I bought a new 68 Z28 from Fencl-Tufo. I worked there until about fall of 1969.

That's amazing...so you worked there in the summer of 68? Any chance you remember a 427/435 1968 Corvette Convertible, probably delivered in late June? British racing green, black interior, black vinyl hardtop and white soft top, 4 spd, 4:11, red lines, F41, N11 and, oddly enough, power widows?

I know it's a long shot...anyone else around that you think might remember the car? Looking for ownership history prior to 1996 when its sold by Holt Motors, a collector car dealership in MI. At that time a tired hot rod with flared fenders, lexan headlights, Crager SSTs, etc...

Sorry, I don't remember your car. There were so many Corvettes and Camaro's at Fencl-Tufo.

What year did it become Fencl-Tufo?

I thought in 68 it was just Fencl?

And what was location in 68?
