I know of an April 4P L78 and you can see the blackout inside the trunk area. Just for the sake of it can you snag a photo of the trunk latch area to confirm it too does not have any black on it? Example of my 68 L78.

Richard, the missing wheel well mouldings that are part of the 3k option, were most likely removed in preparation for drag racing. I’ve seen multiple drag cars where they removed them to avoid tire rub. Sometimes just the rear sometimes all 4.

Here is a pic of an original paint nose stripe on an L78. Looks nearly identical to yours. When I first saw yours I thought it was repainted because of the bigger spacing on the bottom of the stripe, but you can see that this one is the same. Very cool car.

This is a pic of my nose stripe that was layed out per the dimensions giving in the 67 AIM book. Looks like the pic Mark posted IMO.
John, your 4P car is the first one I’ve ever had a chance to look at in detail so I wasn’t aware of of the no black tail panel deal. Thanks for sharing these pics with all of us.
Does it still have the square single traction bar or did it ever have one?
