I dropped by the dealership and talked to the sales manager who was able to find a key fob from an earlier day. As I know the previous owner/restorer of Tom's car it was a pleasure to provide Tom with more provenance.
John.

We did some detailing on the red car today..found an interesting item: all of the exhaust system hangers and clamps have "Canada" stamped on them. Now I guess that's not a big thing since the car came from Canada, but it was new to me. I was going to change all the hardware with new shiney stuff...decided to leave them in place... I may clean and paint them though...but they need to be with the car.

For an older the resto this car has held up great...it's no trailer queen, but it still looks good.

Thanks Sam...I'm just going to keep working on the little details as I go along. Should have the seats back this week...then I can finish the interior detailing. Plan to spend some more time on the undercarriage, refinishing exhaust hardware, a little more cleaning and touch up...should be ready for spring and a new owner. It's starting to shape up real nice.

Engine bay is just about on the money..we installed some new battery cables and did some other little stuff...need to get a tune-up sticker.

Nova M20 with tag and TCS connection..

12 bolt housing has held up real well over the years..

Don't clean it up to much Tom,it looks good from here. Besides, the new owner better be driving it and not using it as a lawn ornament!

Update on the red Candadian car...picked up the seats this week form the upholstery shop...they really came out nice We cleaned all the frames, rebuilt springs and supports in the front seat, and then painted all the metal. We added a new foam insert to the front seat, but retained the factory burlap and stuffing for an original look on all the pieces. I detailed the seat belts and will install some new chrome end caps to finish off the front seat. Seats should go back in tomorrow..more pics then.
