Anders,

Tell us how you have your Chevelle set up. Nice air time.

Sam,
I bought this car from Johan Gustafsson three years ago. He´s the guy that made it fly ! He used a GM 454 block and crank with aftermarket aluminum rods, heads, intake and waterpump etc. The engine put out around 800 hp he said. It was coupled to a manual shift TH 400 followed by a lot of Mark Williams parts. The rearend was attached to the frame with parts he made himself. Johan knew what he was doing. He kept the engine, put a stronger crank in it and a supercharger on it, and made 2000 hp. His Pro Modified car made 202 mph in 6.95 seconds with it last summer.
My intention was to take the car back to the streets, since it was a factory SS 396 with a solid body. So I put the original rearend back, now with 4.56:1 gears and a posi unit. I kept the trans, but replaced the engine with a 396 from a 1970 Chevelle. It made only 500 hp on the dyno, so the car won´t fly this high next summer.

So Sixties.Whats up with the Camaro.I havent heard aout it in a while.Any pictures of it?

BTW.I was wondering. What was the deal with Toy#7.I have only seen a few pictures of the car but not much mention of it over the years. It looks like it could have been the car that Strcik later ran on his own.Does anybody know much about this car?

Rich, I plan to have the car at York again, next to Jenkins' booth. Pictures have been posted on the site from both York, and, Chevy Vettefest.
