Marlin,

-------I wish I had the copy of the issue of Hot Rod where they featured the original "Bad Bascom". Do you remember that 62 Chevy II that Bill Thomas slipped a complete 62 (might have been 63) fuel injected 327 crate motor direct from Chevrolet into??? As I recall H/R did a whole test on the car and it was "BAD" hence the name. I think you are correct that these fastbacks may have taken on the "B/B" name but I think that coupe was the first Bad Bascom. That issue of Hot Rod really made an impression on me. I was close to getting my license and when I saw that Duece I wanted one just like it sooooooo bad!!! Now, looking back I think it could be considered a supercar. If only it would have occured to someone to merchandise those Chevy IIs........Bill S

The Original No Fear Car , Chevy II altered Wheel base , Engine setback, sit in The rear window!!,Straight Front Axle with Only Rear Brakes. Didn't steer, Stop, But Man did it give a Seat Of The pants Ride. I sold this Last fall. it was built in 65' and campaigned thru 71 now is being raced again.
