I talked ot Rufus on a couple occasions. The 70 Camaro in the article went to a guy on Long Island, he wasn't sure who. The 70 Camaro with the wild pumpkin paint scheme was the old Butch Leal Camaro. I didn't realize he ran so many race cars. He also told me Grumpy's 68 was sold to a named Sylvester Rogers from the area and was wrecked in a trailer accident. Other people seem to think that car is still alive? Who knows??

[ QUOTE ]
Looking for contact information for either Levi Holmes or Rufus Boyd. Anyone know if either one of these two gentlemen are still with us or their whereabouts? From what I'm told Levi was a big street racer in the NY, NJ area in the 70's and they both raced the Brooklyn Heavy car(s).

Any info is appreciated.

Mike

Mike,

Hi. Contact Eugene Coard of Mutt Brothers fame. There's a good chance he knows. Here's a link to his web site:

Ah yeah.

Any good threads on Brooklyn Heavy on the web? Seems like he had 3+ first gens, 2+ second gens, and the Dodge cars.

There was some info in another site with Mutt brothers and NY street racing, but it is gone now.

Here's a Brooklyn Heavy article from the June 1971 issue of Hi Performance Cars.

I would love to have his international tow truck. Wondering if it survived.
