Oops it closed in 1984, Oswego closed in 1979.

Love this car, I bet there are a lot other pics out there.

Very cool. I recall seeing this car in magazines as a kid in the 1980s. I also remember looking at other modded 1969 Camaros at the time in the weekly Auto Trader & Tradin' Times and saving up my money to get one ($3-4,000 seemed like the end of the universe in high school, let alone to spend it on a 20 year old Camaro). Had to settle for my neighbor's wife's 1980 LeSabre instead. I learned never to settle after that.

Great story, and incredibly true lesson I think several of us have learned. I'm hoping this car ends up with a caretaker who wanted a '69 Camaro street machine in their younger days. For whatever reason, it didn't work out then, but now it can...

I would love it, but just got a 63 Corvette fuel coupe and a 64 Porsche 356C in the last 45 days (Corvette was intentional, Porsche was a surprise too good to pass up). Pretty sure the wife would kill me if anything else comes home in in the near future.

WOW!
What a Time-Capsule. Hard to believe it's untouched after all these years!
I have that Car Craft Mag at home too.
108 MPH is a lot of speed for a 13.29 ET- means car has a lot more potential in it if traction improved. This is a fantastic opportunity here.
**Also- I see the '84 Hurst Olds hiding under plastic wrap- THAT was the car I sold my '70 Stage One Buick for when graduating college, thinking a needed a "grown-up" car when joining the Corporate world. LOL.

I think you're SPOT ON, Jerry. I didn't say anything about the slips, as I didn't want folks to think I was trying to hype up the car. However, I completely agree, and think this is a 12 second car all day...not too shabby back in 1980 or so.

Thanks for noticing the Hurst! Just over 4,800 miles on that one.

Is that Danny Sullivan's Nova on the cover?
