Yes, it is automatic. I'm going to start a new thread about the story of this car soon; and with the help of Marlin, Schonye and Vince, I'm in the process of compiling information/documentation/history now... All of it's life has been accounted for, except for a space of time between June 1970 - spring 1973...

Well the firestorm will start now ....your PM box will fill up rather quickly....I need some popcorn and peanuts to watch this show !! In all seriousness ...good luck with your venture ...there are some good guys on this site. Try Schonye at Deuce Heaven in Donahue Iowa. Good folks that live amongst the corn stalks

Love to hear more about your car also welcome aboard Tom!
Besides NCRS docs coming back Yenko, do you know any history of the car?
Also, is the original rear axle still with the car but engine/trans MIA?

Have you created a new thread yet about this car? Did I miss it?

I didn't create a new thread yet because I'm still trying to gather information about it. The guy I bought it from is elderly, and doesn't have a phone or email. I think he checks his mailbox twice a year, and lives twenty hours away.
This car has only had (about) four owners (including me), has not been titled or driven by three of them. Then it was cut up into a racecar when it was three years old (but never raced) and ended up sitting in indoor and outdoor storage for the next 41 years.
So as a result, information on this car may only be gleaned from one or more of the previous three owners or their families, or maybe by someone who has seen this car burning up the streets or 1/4 mile racetracks of Pennsylvania or Michigan sometime between 1970 and 1973....
