We had a woman who went missing and a couple years later they found her car at the bottom of a pond on a local college campus. It was hard to believe it was there the whole time. An old 300ZX that had a low roof line that sank to the bottom of the pond.

Over the last couple years we've had two separate cases of missing women later found in their submerged cars, both were accidents and no foul play that I'm aware of.
I know the one spot well as it's a favorite drive/winding road along the river's edge, sadly others have lost their lives there too but were more quickly found or had others w/ them who survived.
Prayers and condolences to the families and friends of those lost.

Strange... I use to go visit family in Leedy,OK and went to Foss Lake while I was there. If I remember correctly its one of the largest man made lake/reservoirs in the country. I don't think the lake is very old. Those cars probably went into Foss Lake when it was almost a "new lake".

Very sad! BTW, it is a 6 cyl, no engine emblem and you can clearly see the small 6 cyl fan shield in one of the cnn photos.

Not true. The VIN, 124379L517123, shows it was an original V8 car.
