A very sad time for me. Ed was without a doubt the best all around guy I have ever met in the car hobby. Just a kind, honest, straight shooter type of guy. He was as good a friend as anyone could have in life. He was just like a lot of his cars, a one of a kind original. I had a better life knowing Ed Lis

Sad new for sure - Ed was a true gentleman and car guy. He helped me to sell my 68Z and we became friends forever thereafter.

RIP ED

Very sad news indeed. Ed was a great guy who had an infectious passion for this hobby and specifically survivor cars. RIP Ed.....

Sorry to hear of his battle lost. The more friends found, eventually, more friends lost. Godspeed to another great car guy!

Going to miss Ed's survivor posts and transactions. Always top-self photography, well detailed, and honestly documented, no fluff. Never got to meet him in person but talked to Ed several times about his 68 California Raisin Firebird 400 4spd back in 2009 when he was selling....had a big heart for the Pontiacs. Thought about contacting Ed this spring because the Raisin is in my care now.

My best to a true car guy,

Kevin-

So sad to hear this.
Didn't even know he was sick, and looked as healthy as an ox when he visited me.
Ed was a good guy,and had a keen eye for collecting unique items.
My sincere condolences to his sister & remaining family.

So sorry to hear the terrible news Dennis, found out from Mike at Tri-Power. I remember Ed on the construction side when he was a member of U.A.134 and on the car side at many car auctions and visits to his eastern Indiana shop.
My sincere condolences to you and Ed's family.

This is such sad news. I feel priviledged to have been able to spend some time with Ed, and am really happy that I "twisted his arm" to get him to bring his Yenko T/A to MCACN.

Always a gentleman, with a great sense of humor and an undeniable passion for cars.

Indeed, my thoughts are with you, Dennis, along with the rest of Ed's family.

Live every day to the fullest!
