I think that's a great car and I remember when it was on E-Bay recently for under $30K. That's a good buy for a complete numbers-matching LS-6 Chevelle! Arguably.........King of the Musclecars!

Our thoughts as well Mark. The original owner and I spoke again today, his brother also has some vintage pictures of the car from 1970. We're looking forward to seeing them. Phil, the original owner says he was a regular Friday night guy at Woodward Ave. up in Mi. I guess it's pretty well known in those parts.

I was talking to the fella who had it last. I just wanted to clean it up, rebuild the mechanics as little as possible and drive it the way it is.He didn't like my offer [don't blame him!] I figured the world is kinda full of restored $100,000 LS-6's....just my take on a cool car...

Jim, this car needs a complete resto. There is nothing left on the driver and passenger side floor. It's too far gone for just a quick cleanup and it really does deserve to be restored. Here's some pictures of our L78 we finished last year.

Seriously though...you are at the local cruise night...a super nice, frame off LS-6 pulls in to the left....Lic plate sez 'REAL-1'

Then right behind it, PULLING TO THE RIGHT,comes this car exactly as it sits but running and sounding perfect...Plate sez...'REAL-TOO'

Both cars have the original window stickers plastered in the 1/4 Glass....

You only have time to look at one...wife is going nuts....which way you turning?

Diamond

or

Diamond in the rough....

Couldn't have said it better. I'd be all-over this car before heading over to the restored one. However, it is YOUR car and you're entitled to do with it as you wish. That's why survivor's are getting harder to find every day... and their value is going up at the same rate.

Thanks for posting the quality reference pics!
