Several years ago two ladies in their 80's pulled out in front of my ex wife totally both cars and putting one of the elderly in a nursing home. They rolled through a stop sign....

I remember an article just a couple years ago in one of the magazines about a rock star with a killer chevelle (maybe the group Chevelle?) that got rearended but the cage that extended into the trunk kept the singer and his wife completely safe and the car was repairable mostly due to the cage.

This accident is a tragedy. My prayers go out to the family. Hopefully as stated in the video posted above, the driver was not aware of the fire. I also feel for the people that try to help in these situations and are unable. We had a very similiar situation here in Huntsville recently with a 16 year old girl that was hit by a large truck and the cars fuel line ruptured. People were trying to extinguish the flames coming in through the dash and firewall and she was pinned at the legs. She (16 yrs old) told them to get out of the car and that she was okay... She perished in the fire. One of the men that had been trying to comfort her said she told him she was going to be allright and for him to get out of the fire. I know the Church she attended very well and know what she was talking about. She left behind 2 sisters and both parents and hundreds of friends.

Yes Hurst created the jaws of life...

I was at the DMV one day and there was an older gentleman ahead of me doing the eye test.... he admitted he couldn't see the letters... she asked him what he thought they were... she helped him through the letters. I asked about his vision... she felt "sorry" for him. Hell feel sorry for the people on the roads!
