I think the poster read the car description and assumed that since the radiator support was replaced that it had front end damage at some point. What they failed to read was the fact that it says it has all of its original sheetmetal. There are several things that could lead to replacement of the radiator support, such as rust from a battery, etc.

Didnt mean to offend anybody !! I wasnt accusing the car of damage but I read it like it had front end damage..(Core Support)
I AM NOT BASHING THIS CAR !! Just ? how that was replaced.

Feature car says:
The car retains all the original drive train, and the block is the only thing that's not the same as its a CE block. The interior is all original, also, as is the sheet metal. Just the core support was changed."

This is one of the Great ZL1's to own but didnt understand how they changed the support without something happening !!

The core support was rusted pretty bad underneath the radiator so I changed it.Everything under the car was rusty and the first thing I did when I got it home was clean it up underneath and painted.
The sub frame and axle show pits from rusting but I didn't want to change everything cause its what the car was born with.

And feel free to point things out,no offense taken here

Cool story. My first reaction on the add was "wow- that was cheap..." But looking at medium household incomes from 1976 you can see Eddie dropped an equivalncy of a years income on a car located 3000 miles away - Bold move...one that proved wise to say the least..thanks for the story Eddie. That's neat stuff...

It was a crazy thing to do and Rick your right about that on top of that we had a cashiers check that nobody would cash unless we wanted to wait fifteen days, thanks to a guy my brother did helicopter business with he took the check in to his bank and they cashed it this was on monday after we spent the weekend there, you know how hard a weekend can be when your 18 and they let you drink in bars
I look at this way back then we were crazy for paying that much and going to far to get it and now I'm crazy for keeping it now cause its worth to much I just can't win
