sorry for the old bump but there also is the word "conv" on the back of the block above one of the holes where the bell housing bolts. is that standard practice? i WILL get some pics up here soon as I will be at my folks place this weekend.

From what I remember, "conv" translates to "conventional". Basically a passenger car motor not a truck motor.
