Tony,
I really don't know if the A.I.R. system is functional or not, how do you tell? I found the car complete as you see it other than the service carb that I got from ebay and had it rebuilt. I have been cleaning it up for the past couple of years with the help of this site and it's members. Yes it's a LA car with a 04A build date from Courtesy Chevrolet Center in San Diego, Ca and your favorite color 17 17. I'm going to sell it after the interior is finished and I'll offer it to the people on this site before I put it on ebay.
Thanks

Nice Bart...Our cars are the same in many ways. Mine is 04A, 17-17 too. Same dealer too. I think to tell if the pump is working, you would check the discharge hose and see if any air was coming out? Sounds logical anyway.
I still need that elusive carb heat shield too.

Guys!

I'm no expert on the 1970 models, but shouldn't there be a
"T" fitting and a vacuum line to the diverter valve for the
SMOG system? 69 models had this provision.
