Default Re: An LS6 6-Speed Cadillac? yup, it's a CTS-V

No. Cadillac has two cars that share parts with the Vette. This CTS-V car is on the Sigma platform which started in 2002(?) with the V6 5-speed CTS, which is still available with the choice of two V6s. They threw a bunch of new parts on it (LS6, 6-speed, big brakes, suspension, front and rear fascia mods...) along with some bracing and heavier rear frame rails to build the monster CTS-V. The other car which is based on the Corvette (Y) platform is the XLR with the 4.6L Northstar V8 and a retractable hardtop.

It's easy to get the letter cars crossed.

CTS-V = LS6, 6-speed...4-Door Sedan, Sigma Platform

XLR = 4.6L Northstar, 5-speed, 2-Door, Rect. Hardtop, Corvette Platform

On the V16 1000hp, 1000lb-ft cruiser, I think it was killed last fall. Too bad, I wanted to see and hear it go.

The Cadillac 16. I'm with Paul, I'd like to see and hear it go. I think Charley needs to build a car around one of these.
