Out of the box....The cars chase each other around the dial.
Watch is marked "Swiss Made" at the bottom... in the same manner as a Rolex....

Anybody here have the Hot Wheels "Sizzler" cars when they were young? I had a early set. Came with two Boss Mustangs, one Candy Apple red and one green. They came with a charger that looked like a gas pump. They were pretty cool! I wonder what they would be worth today? Wish I still had them!

You realize by taking that watch out of its original box,it has depreciated in Value 70%...VERY !

Scott
I Had Hotwheels & Sizzlers too growing Up.The Giant Gas Pump/Battery Juicer is around here somewhere,as well as my RoadKing Mountain Mining Set.The Yellow Semi Tractor/Trailer better be in the Set box!

This guy likes his cars to. I have found that the new Hot Wheels sets are so boring I have been buying older sets for us to play with. Nothing like a good old fashioned drag race or some super charger oval action. We call it "Track Time".

I really do not recall too much about the watch over the years. I do know it was sold new at JC Penney's. I was 6, and the sales lady told me it was the only one they had.

It was in the showcase at eye level. (I was 6)

The gotcha was the cars on the second hand as they went round and round the dial, and the checkerboard minutehands.

This is what I recall - I wanted the watch, My mom got it for me for my birthday in 1970. At that time I had a ton of redline Hot Wheels, and Sizzlers, My favorite being the 1970 T/A Camaro, with white stripe (Green #6). I also had the vinal sizzlers case. I recall taking the juce machine out and using it as a lunch box

I guess the watch survived because I kept misplacing it. I found it again when I moved out of the house when I was 21, almost tossed it, Set it aside, and it got packed up and went with me. I left it packed up again and had forgotten all about it until last year when I found it again. Will power? More like dumb luck!! Fate?? 1970 was a good year!

You are bringing him up right!! Cute Kid!

Phil
