Jim at V Tech Corvette in Rockford, IL always takes care of me. I elected to pass on the powder coating and new dust shields, as this car leans more towards the survivor side. These trailering arms were shipped out this past Monday, and arrived last night (Thursday). Hopefully I can assemble everything on Monday.

I had the enjoyable fortune that Tim G paid me a visit this week. It's always good to catch up with Tim. I got the trailering arms installed (waiting on a couple of small items before I pull torque on everything). With some luck, I may have the car on the road by EOD tomorrow. Here are a some additional pics as I am wrapping up the chassis....

The car is better than I imagined. Good thing it wasn’t up and running or I would’ve had my wife divert Tim’s attention and taken off with it.

I had a chance to install a new set of shoes yesterday, in addition to getting some seat time behind the wheel. With the heat and humidity that are in play right now, the A/C was a REALLY nice luxury to have. To say I am happy and impressed, is an understatement! Still, more cleaning, detailing, etc. to go.
Here are some pics from this morning, as the light was conducive ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Those are some money shots there, especially the RR quarter view.
For anyone that hasn't owned a sorted 67 L-79, it has nearly the refinement of a Cadillac with the power of a Corvette. It's a whole different car than where they started in 63. Last edited by SupremeDeluxe; 07-29-2025 at 04:07 PM. |

The A/C is what puts this one over the top. Mom and Dad drove their 67 L79/C60 roadster all over the country in the 90's and it never missed a beat.
