This week anyone that had a car for sale 6 months to a year ago, will be getting a call from people trying to catch sellers not keeping up with the trend, happens after every big dollar show.

I would say, numbers/pricing is generally UP a good amount. I would note this '68 Mustang coupe @ $47,300 WITH Buyers prem:
https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0121-44...tang-gt-coupe/ Little over a year ago, there was a'67 AND '68 that were pretty much Identical, same stripe, vinyl roof, 390 auto Ac cars and BOTH were in the $18,000 range WITH buyer prem. Now this could be one of those cars, just restored/clean fixed up as it seems to be much nicer shape. Also the other 2 were cream color I think. This '70 L78 Nova seems to be a very strong price for those cars: https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0121-44...rolet-nova-ss/ This W30 convert seems down pretty much to what they usually bring: https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0121-44...0-convertible/ Sits pretty bad though The 001 and 002 Firebird that Gas Monkey did seemed to be ok $$$ wise.

Question, being a 70 I would expect to see the flat intake that was used on both Chevelle and Camaro that year. I'm seeing a 69 style intake in the pics. Is this correct?? Maybe for an early car?? |

Mike would run out of that place screaming! I’ve never seen so many Chinese boosters on supposedly high dollar cars :-)

So I am assuming you are at the auction? Curious what the attendance is like under the current circumstances - covid? You can't see much besides the car going over the block when watching on the internet.

Not to hijack but can someone explain this one to me? What's the difference between a Chinese booster and a correct one? Because when our Camaro gets swapped to discs, I'd like for it to look right (unless the price difference is insane, anyway)

"Must be all that stimulus money being thrown around..."
In all seriousness, some of this might be related to the run up in the stock market. If one has enough money invested, an extra $50K-$100K might be easy to find. The Dodge Omni belonged to Carroll Shelby, make of that what you will. |

I hang out on a Porsche forum and the run up in the stock market is being discussed as a cause for the current shortage of Porsches in the market. Some are claiming that prices are up 10-20% since the Pandemic.
