We really have it pretty good now, too. How much fun is it to go to Chicago every November for the MCCAN show and see all the cars and friends you can handle. The same with Bloomington Gold, even Cars and Coffee with 400 cars showing up. Heck, I just go in the garage at night and have better cars now than I ever had back in the day. Good times then and good times now.

Wow, what a flash back!! I can say I cruised Van Nuys once but boy was it a chore!! You see, with 4.88's and living about 55 miles away, I though I'd just flat-tow it up there! Since I heard that flat-towing was hard on the drive-train, I decided to remove the drive-shaft before we left. Then I had to reinstall it when we got there. We cruised around for a bit, removed the drive-shaft again, towed it home and had to reinstall it one more time just to get the car in the garage!! Was it worth it?? I guess so!! At least I can say I cruised Van Nuys Blvd!!! I usually cruised Hawthorne Blvd, which was a lot closer to home and just as much fun!!! Thanks for posting the pics!!

The land where it used to sit is now a shopping center. Take a look via google and you'll see the area, Van Nuys Blvd. and Arminta Street. I don't know if they did Chevelles and El Caminos there. I know it was Firebirds and probably Camaros. In the late 80's they had a Firebird on display in front of the plant.
